Narrative
After a criminal and forensic medical investigation of the circumstances surrounding the death of newborn Jared Moore, the matter was presented to the Kent County Grand Jury by Dover Police lead Detective, Jennifer King. Today an indictment was returned against Jeanne A. Moore and Dereke R. Moore charging them each with Murder by Abuse or Neglect in the First Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Felony, and Abusing a Corpse. They were both taken into custody on those charges today by Dover Police Department Detectives. The initial charges now pending in the Court of Common Pleas will be terminated and the matter will proceed forward in the Superior Court.
