Narrative
On Sunday, January 31, 2010 at approximately 9:13 p.m. security officers from Wesley College detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from a dorm room. Upon contacting a subject in the room they obtained permission to search and located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. After officers from Dover PD arrived they took possession of the items found by the security officers. As the officers were conducting interviews the defendant approached them and inquired as to what was going on. The defendant then freely admitted that the items that were found were his and not the subject who was initially contacted by security. The defendant was then taken into custody and was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling for Distribution, Possession within 1000’ of a School, and Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was arraigned at JP 7 and was released on a $4750 unsecured bond.
