Domestic Burglary

Narrative
On February 3, 2010 @ 0150 hours, the defendant Murphy travelled to his ex-girlfriends home in the 1000 block of Hayes Circle. The defendant and the victim have been separated and Murphy was earlier advised by Dover Police not to contact the victim. Defendant Murphy then broke the screen door and used a stolen house key in an attempt to enter the victim's residence. Although the victim propped a chair behind the door, the defendant was able to force his way in and grabbed the victim by her arm. Police arrived and took the defendant into custody. The defendant Murphy was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional center in Smyrna default bond.
